Why does North Korea hate the U.S.?
The North Korean regime teaches its citizens to hate America. But why?
It began with a war that`s almost forgotten in the United States. After World War II, two superpowers divided the Korean peninsula along the 38th Parallel. The Soviet Union occupied the north and the United States the south. This resulted in the creation of two separate states, the Republic of Korea or South Korea, and the Democratic People`s Republic of Korea or North Korea. Most historians say the North invaded the South on June 25th, 1950, when the Korean War beganUNIDENTIFIED MALE: This is war.
ریشه دشمنی آمریکا با کره شمالی(North Korea ) به بعد از جنگ جهانی دوم (World War II) بر می گردد. یعنی زمانی که دو ابرقدرت(superpowers) آن زمان، شبه جزیره(peninsula) کره را بین خود تقسیم کردند. اتحاد جماهیر شوروی(Soviet Union) شمال کره را اشغال کرد و آمریکا نیز جنوب شبه جزیره کره را اشغال نمود. که در نتیجه آن دو کشور مجزا شکال گرفتند.
بیشتر مورخان(historians) بر این باورند که کره شمالی به کره جنوبی حمله نمود و در نتیجه آن جنگ کره(Korean War) شروع شد.
The North tells its citizens America actually started the war.
Over the next three years, around 1 million North Koreans died in the fighting, including an estimated 600,000 civilians. Active hostilities ended in 1953, but technically, the war is still ongoing, because no peace treaty was ever signed — a fact North Koreans are never allowed to forget.
Since then, the country`s founder, President Kim Il-sung, his son, General Kim Jong-Il, and grandson, Marshal Kim Jong-un, have all dialed up the anti-U.S. rhetoric, including blaming the U.S. for international sanctions they claim have caused North Korea`s economic woes.
شمال کره به شهروندان(citizens) خود اعلام کرد که شروع کننده اصلی جنگ آمریکا بوده است. که در این جنگ حدود یک میلیون نفر از مردم کره شمالی کشته شدند. خصومتهای(hostilities) آشکار در سال 1953 پایان یافت، اما جنگ همچنان وجود داشت چون هیچ قرارداد صلحی(peace treaty) تاکنون امضا نشده بود.
از آن پس(Since then) پایه گذاران کشور کره شمالی بذر خصومت نسبت به آمریکا را در شهروندان خود ایجاد نمودند و آمریکا را عامل تحریمهای بین المللی(international sanctions) دانستند که باعث مشکلات اقتصادی(economic woes) شده بود.
Making America into an ever-present threat has helped the Kims unify the nation behind their regime. Recent escalating tensions between Washington and Pyongyang only helped promote that narrative — keeping the population focused on an external enemy, the United States, and having zero tolerance for political dissent.
تبدیل آمریکا به یک تهدید همیشگی، باعث ایجاد اتحاد در این نظام شده است. افزایش تنش های فعلی بین آمریکا و پیونگ یانگ فقط به افزایش گفتگو ها منجر شده است و توجه مردم کره را بر دشمن خارجی(external enemy) یعنی آمریکا معطوف نموده است.
